Krasnoyarsk young inventors printed a hand prosthesis on a 3D printer.

Krasnoyarsk hosted the V Regional Open-air Robotic Festival "IQ-Robot. 200 schoolchildren from 7 to 18 years old from the Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Irkutsk Region took part in the festival. The festival takes place in the eve of the Krasnoyarsk city forum "The Future. We design together."

Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Eremin  participated at the opening of the festival "IQ-Robot"  and got acquainted with student developments and talked with inventors.

Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren presented their project - a plastic prosthetic wrist printed on a 3D printer. All fingers are well bent, the wrist can move. This, of course, is not a novelty in the world of robotics, but it is important here that the cost of this sample is in several times cheaper than analogs.

Schoolchildren from Irkutsk offered to collect solar energy and convert it into electricity. The essence of another project is to mine the lunar soil regolith. The authors note,  that this is an excellent building material.

The winners will be able to take part in the Siberian Robotic Festival "RoboSib", which takes place in Irkutsk, as well as go to the international festival "First Russian Open 2019" in Perm.

"There is such a feeling, that we have already plunged into the future. Robots cause delight, and they are made not by adults, but by schoolchildren. Pupils not only construct robots, but also write complex programs for them. These intellectual contests need to be developed further. It is important, that the fiery eyes  of young inventors do not go out, so that the guys do not lose their potential", - the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Eremin noted.

Let us recall,  that the winners of the festival IQ-Robot successfully participate in the district, all-Russian and International competitions. For example, in 2017, Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren-winners in the "FIRST" nomination and became champions of the country at the "FIRSTRUSSIAN OPEN" Robotic Championship. In addition, Krasnoyarsk defended the honor of our city at the European Championships in Hungary, the World Championships in the USA and the European Championships in Estonia, where they took the 3rd place in the "ROBOT DESIGN" nomination.
