Krasnoyarsk region will strengthen cooperation with Japan.

Krasnoyarsk Territory and Japan plan to expand and strengthen cooperation. The Head of the regional office at the Russian government, Andrei Wolf, and the director of the office of the Japanese business club Okada Kunio discussed the ideas of cooperation on November, 8.

The meeting participants discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation between Japan and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Particular attention was paid to holding meetings between representatives of business spheres of Japan and the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the and discuss industrial production, agriculture,  forestry, culture and tourism.

The Head of the regional representative office Andrei Wolf presented the economic and investment potential of the region, spoke about the upcoming international sport event - the World Winter Universiade, the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum and invited Japanese colleagues to take part in these large-scale events.

Okada Kunio stressed, that Japanese companies are interested in strengthening trade relations with the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Aluminum and wood dominated in the structure of trade. Japan imports boilers, equipment and mechanical devices, vehicles, plastic products to the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The representative of the Japanese business mission offered to consider the possibility of organizing a presentation of the economic and cultural potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory at the Embassy of Japan, during which the large-scale projects and opportunities for cooperation with entrepreneurs will be presented to business repreesntaves.

The director of the Japanese Business Club office also expressed interest in conducting a business-mission in  Krasnoyarsk Territory headed by the Ambassador of Japan to the Russian Federation.
