​Israel and Krasnoyarsk agreed to cooperate.

On October 31, a meeting with the First Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation Boleslav Yatvetsky was held in the Krasnoyarsk administration. He is also a Head of the Israeli Cultural Center at the Embassy of the State of Israel in Novosibirsk. Krasnoyarsk was represented by the Deputy Head of Mayor's Department – Vadim Falaleev.

The prospects of development of cooperation between Krasnoyarsk and the State of Israel in the field of culture, tourism, high technologies and education were discussed during the meeting.

So, the opportunities of the participation of Israeli musicians and soloists in the International Festival of Chamber Music "Asia - Siberia - Europe", as well as the international charity festival "Children to Children" were also discussed.

Mr. Yatvetsky supported the initiative to establish a connection with one of the cities of Israel with the purpose for further signing the Cooperation Agreement. The diplomat expressed hope, that this will happen in the first half of 2019, after the entry into office of a number of new Heads of municipalities (elections were recently held in Israel).

As for trade and economic relations, by the end of 2017, the foreign trade turnover of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the State of Israel amounted to $ 2.2 million. Non-precious metals and aluminum products are supplied from Krasnoyarsk Territory, equipment and optics mainly come from Israel.

Parties stressed, that all conditions have been created for the further successful development of trade and economic relations, Krasnoyarsk city has great potential. One Israeli shoe designer Kobi Levy will visit Krasnoyarsk very soon and, maybe, he'll visit local shoe factory «Ionessi».

Deputy Head of Mayor's Department – Vadim Falaleev  paid  the attention of Mr. Yatvetsky to possible cooperation in the field of urban planning and urban improvement - Israel has a unique experience in the field of urban technologies of the future. Innovations developed by Israeli scientists are applied to the sustainable development of the urban environment. High-tech systems are widely used in municipalities, which control street lighting, garbage collection and parking monitoring.

After that, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel in  Russian Federation, Mr. Yatvetsky, told about educational projects in which Russian students can take part. This is an innovative educational project to improve the skills of students and young scientists "Academy of the Future." The Israeli side is ready to organize a reference visit for  prospective students and teachers. Lat us recall, that cooperation between our region and Israel in the field of high technologies has already been established. So, thanks to the active assistance of the Israeli Cultural Center, the children's robotics team of Krasnoyarsk took part in the Israeli Open FTC Championship (FIRST Tech Challenge Championship 2016-17 from Israel).

Mr. Yatvetsky plans to to take part in the events of the XII Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair in Krasnoyarsk. The program includes lectures of world-famous Israeli writer Lenor Goralik and the festival of Israeli comedies in the Cinema House. Today, the winners and participants of the exhibition "Travel notes about Israel" will be awarded at the Cinema House.

"When you talk about Siberia in Israel, the distance and suspense  scare my compatriots . Few people believe that there are civilized developed cities here. With your help, we want to destroy these stereotypes", - Boleslav Yatvetsky said.
