​Siberian Federal University has risen in the QS BRICS rating. 

Siberian Federal University continues to improve its position in the leading international rankings. The list of the best universities of the BRICS countries (QS BRICS World University Rankings) published on October 16, 2018 Siberian Federal University ranked 169th place. Last year the university was in the 171-180th group. One of the strongest indicators was an academic reputation.

Let us recall, that the best universities of countries with actively developing economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are presented in the QS BRICS rankings. Universities were assessed by such indicators as academic reputation, reputation among employers, the ratio of students to teachers, the proportion of teachers with a degree, the number of citations and publications, as well as the proportion of foreign teachers and students.

This year, the compilers increased the number of universities participating in the ranking to 9,000. The published part of the international ranking includes 400 best universities of the BRICS countries, among them are 101 universities represent the Russian higher school.
