​Teachers оf Krasnoyarsk danced, sang and read poems.

Today the ceremony of Mayor Award  in the field of education was held in the Congress Hall of the Siberian Federal University. On the eve of the Teachers' Day , seven of the most distinguished Krasnoyarsk teachers, heads of kinder gardens, school directors and heads of additional education institutions received the deserved awards. The winners were awarded with diplomas and a cash prize.

The event was conducted in the format of the interactive show. The audience saw the video business cards of the winners, after that each teacher was presented by their colleagues, who prepared the joint creative performances. The laureates not only became the main characters of the holiday, but were able to feel like real stars.  Before the event, colleagues and students of the winners left their wishes on the  mini-disks.

Irina Kolbik, deputy director of the Lyceum No. 7 and teacher of Russian language and literature  became one of the winners. The teacher developed elective courses. As a result, five graduates received one hundred points in the unified state exam in the Russian language. “I came to the Lyceum right after graduating from the university and realized that I was in the right place. For me, a teacher is not just a profession, it is a way of life, a mission, a real serving”, - Irina Kolbik admitted.

Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Eremin congratulated the laureates and remembered his teachers: “I have had three teachers whom I have remembered all my life. This is my first rural teacher, a teacher in high school and a tutor in university. Each of them influenced on my character, life principles, which I always follow. I thank all the teachers of our city for the talent and loyalty to the profession”.

The Mayor Award  in the field of education has been held annually since 1999. Its main goal is to support and encourage teachers who are engaged in pioneering work, developing innovative projects and pedagogical methods. Candidates for the award are nominated by the regional administrations.
