Equal opportunities in sport became the topic of the FISU Forum second day.

Today, the Opening Ceremony of the FISU Forum took place in Krasnoyarsk. The participants of the event were greeted by honorable guests Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets, President of the International University Sports Federation Oleg Matytsin and Acting Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss.

As a part of the Opening Ceremony the parade of the FISU Forum participants was held. The official ceremony was attended by the Ambassadors of the Winter Universiade 2019, namely, the Olympic silver medalist in figure skating Ilya Averbukh, eleven-time Russian champion in curling Olga Zharkova and Krasnoyarsk activist Natalya Kaptelinina.

The Opening Ceremony was followed by the plenary discussion, during which the experts presented their projects on student sport. Two-time Paralympic champion Alexei Moshkin took part in the discussion. The alpine skier told about the important part sport plays in the lives of people with disabilities. "Sport teaches us not only to occupy the highest podium. He teaches us discipline, sociability, strength of mind and will. I think this is one of the best tools for rehabilitation in society, " said Alexei Moshkin.

The second half of the day was dedicated to project work. The seminars were united by a common theme "Equal opportunities in sport". During the work of the parallel sections, the Forum guests discussed the development of leadership qualities in student sport, as well as gender and social equality.
