​Search party «Route» continues the installation of memorials to perished flyers on the places of their death.

Search composite party «Route», which includes representatives of Military Engineering Institute of Siberian Federal University, public organizations «Siberian Division» and «Brotherhood of orthodox pathfinders», teachers and students of schools of  Republic of Khakassia held an exploration expedition and memorial events of perpetuation the memory of the defender of the Fatherland - pilots and cadets of the Birm Military Aviation School of Pilots during the period from 2016 to 2018. Aviation School located in Chernogorsk city during the Great Patriotic War.  6 Memorable signs on places of death of military pilots and cadets were installed in the territory of Republic of Khakassia during this time. In period from 1942 to1945 years in total 28 pilots and cadets were killed during the training flights. Most of perished were buried in the cemetery of Chernogorsk in two nameless mass graves.

The third expedition was conducted at the territory of three catastrophes from July 30 to August 2, 2018. Memorial signs were also installed there.

Birm Military Aviation School of Pilots was tightly connected with the work of the Krasnoyarsk air route (Alaska-Siberia) in 1943-1945 years. As soon as American aircrafts began to arrive in this military school, the military school received a mission to retrain the pilots of the air forces of the Siberian Military District to drive P-39 «Airacobra» fighter, and later - airplane  P-63 «Kingсobra». Later pilots were sent to the 9th air regiment located in Krasnoyarsk for ferrying American aircrafts from Krasnoyarsk to the battle front. Memorial sign to foreman Nikolai Chernykh perished during the retraining in Republic of Khakassia was installed on August 2, 2018.

In 1944-1945 it was decided that some of the American aircrafts should not be ferried to the west, but left in Siberia in reserve in case of war with Japan. Then, the air fields of the Birm Military Aviation School of Pilots became the base for the storage of American aircrafts. On June, 1945, more than 200 airplanes  P-63 «Kingсobra» were kept at the 245th  aircraft engineering base of the Red Army Air Force in Chernogorsk.

The ceremony of opening of memorials to perished flyers was held in accordance with military rituals and honor guard of cadets of the military department of Military Engineering Institute of Siberian Federal University.
