​The International University Sports Federation representatives, Olympic champions and honorary guests will take part in the FISU Forum.

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) representatives, famous athletes, experts with experience in organising the largest international events, as well as students from 40 countries of the world will take part in the FISU Forum in Krasnoyarsk.

Let us remind that the FISU Forum will be held in Krasnoyarsk on August 6 – 10, it will be the third test event of the Winter Universiade 2019. It is a large educational conference delivered by FISU every two years. This year, the Forum’s theme is University Sports: a Springboard for Innovative Leadership.

FISU President Oleg Matytsin, FISU First Vice-President, the Head of WU 2021 OC Leonz Eder, foreign university professors, PhDs and other experts will be amongst the FISU Forum honorary guests. Educational sessions as part of the Forum will be hosted by the two-time Olympic gold medalist in bar exercises and the Winter Universiade 2019 Ambassador Svetlana Khorkina, the twice Paralympic champion in Alpine Skiing Alexey Moshkin, the head coach for staff preparation in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics Madeleine Baturina and other famous people.

The FISU Forum in Krasnoyarsk will see the participation of students from various countries, as well as National University Sports Federation (NUSF) representatives, members of the international scientific community and experts in university sports and education. The Forum Programme includes educational sessions on such themes as Equal Opportunities in Sports, Double Career, Values and Ethics, as well as cultural and sports events. The main events will be held in the SibFU Congress Hall and in the territory of the future Universiade Village, at the Perya Dormitory Complex.

Let us note that the FISU Forum will become a test platform for the Winter Universiade 2019 preparation. Thus, for the first time at the test event, the new accreditation system for media representatives will be tested. The accreditation system at the Winter Universiade 2019 will be the similar one.
