Krasnoyarsk Mayor Sergei Eremin met with First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society Artur Chilingarov​

The famous scientist - geographer, oceanologist, explorer of the Antarctic and the Arctic, First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society arrived in Krasnoyarsk to participate in the Krasnoyarsk economic forum.

The main topic of the meeting with the Mayor was the implementation of the project to create a park museum in Krasnoyarsk devoted to the exploration of the North. Now the concept of the museum is being developed. It will be presented to the public during this year.

"The Russian Geographical Society supports this idea," said Artur Chilingarov. During the meeting, he also shared his impressions of his stay in Krasnoyarsk: "I liked your airport - it is very modern, and in general, the city is becoming more beautiful."

Krasnoyarsk Mayor Sergei Eremin thanked Artur Chilingarov for his visit and stressed the importance of holding public discussions of the park museum concept.

The decision to build a park museum devoted to the exploration of the North is enshrined in the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Implementation of Major Investment Projects in the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Region signed last December by the interim Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region, Alexander Uss and the CEOs of major business structures: En +, SUEK, SGK and Nornickel.
