President of Russia Vladimir Putin met with winners of XXIII Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang (South Korea) in Kremlin and handed them state awards. Skeletonist of the Regional Academy of Winter Sports, silver medalist Nikita Tregubov was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" I class.

«You have worthily withstood sports loads and emotional tests, have shown your best sports, human qualities and fighting character, - Vladimir Putin addressed to winners. – We know, how hard it was for each of you, how complicated this marathon was. I pay a special attention to the current situation, because it made to make many serious conclusions in the field of international sports and in the management system of the sports sphere within the country. We will continue to provide our athletes with the legal support, work closely with international sports organizations and the International Olympic Committee to ensure that the sport and the Olympic movement strengthen their independence so that the principles of equality and fairness are strictly observed and the anti-doping system has unified rules and, finally, becames understandable and absolutely transparent».

«Vladimir Vladimirovich, I would like to thank you for your support, for good instruction before the Olympic Games, - Nikita Tregubov said. -  We could to prove that we can't be broken. Few people believed in us in the international arena, but we were able to prove that we are strong».

After that, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev received them in The House of the Government of the Russian Federation. Dmitry Medvedev handed them keys from prize cars. Golden medalists received BMW cars of the X6 model, silver ones - models X5, bronze  - models X4.
