​Krasnoyarsk universities were included in the list of leading universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The British company "Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published a rating QS University Rankings: Developing Europe and Central Asia (EECA) 2017/18". Siberian Federal University (SFU) and the Siberian State Aerospace University were included in the list of participants.

The Siberian Federal University took 124th place in rating, while Siberian State Aerospace University entered the number of universities in the category "201-250".

Authors of rating evaluate the universities by nine criteria: the scientific reputation, the reputation among employers, the ratio of faculty members and students, the foreign faculty members, foreign students, the publication activity, the scientific citation of publications, the proportion of employees with a scientific degree and the efficiency of Internet- resources.

In addition, the Siberian Federal University entered the "Science & Technology" rating (Science & Technology Rankings) of the global rating of U-Multirank universities. Siberian Federal University entered both in the general rating "Science and Technology" and in the lists of the strongest universities in the spheres of "Biology", "Mathematics" and "Chemistry."
