​Rugby players from Paris club «Stade Français» arrived in Krasnoyarsk today.

14 –time champion of France, acting holders of Сhallenge Cup (the second most important European club trophy in rugby) will play with 12-time  champion of USSR and Russia  - «Krasny Yar» team. Match will be conducted in  «Krasny Yar» stadium. 

Main star of french club, player number 10 ,Jules Plisson said : «I have never played in Russia, especially in Siberia. I’ve heard about «Krasny Yar»  and I know, that they are training hard for a battle with us. This match will be very difficult, because «Krasny Yar»  play with the support of their fans. We should play aggressively from the very first minute to show beautiful rugby. Weather?  Now, it’s +15C˚ in Paris and  +2C˚ in winter and now it’s  the same weather in  Krasnoyarsk. So, I don’t think there will be problems.  I also would like to see your city. It’s very important to me».

President of club and the star of French rugby in  late 70's - early 80's Patrick Huber said: «We open new places with huge interest. «Krasny Yar» is a debutant of Challenge Cup and this team want to demostrate their possibilies in the match with us. «Stade Français» will play the usual rugby: multiphase attacks on hands with a fast fan. In Krasnoyarsk is colder than in Paris, but it’s not a reason for bad playing.  Of course, «Stade Français» expects to win and prepares for a serious match».

Сoach Gregory Cooper is from New Zealand. He played for the national team of his country and now he works in one of the most famous clubs in France: « I don’t know "Krasny Yar" very well. Although, I know that my compatriots Toby Morland, Glen Horton, Martin Banks played in this club.  According to these names, Krasnoyarsk team has a great desire to develop and move forward.
