​​Sofia Lobova won the gold medal of the European Championship

The European Junior Swimming Championship has finished in Netanya, Israel. The representative of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Academy of Summer Sports Sofia Lobova brought home a gold medal from these competitions.

600 young swimmers, 14-17 years old girls and 15-18 years old boys from 45 European countries, took part in the Championship.

Krasnoyarsk citizen Sofia Lobova took part in the women's 4x100 m medley relay prelims. And in the finals of her team-mates Daria Vaskina, Alyona Chekhovskikh, Polina Egorova and Vasilissa Buinaya finished first (4.04.76). The second place was taken by the national team of Hungary (4.07,90), the third – by the Poles (4.08,74).

In the team rating, the Russian team was the first with 30 medals - 11 gold, 12 silver and 7 bronze. Hungarian team occupied the second position – 21 medals (11-8-2) and Italian team – the third – 11 medals (5-3-3).
