The choir ensemble of soloists “Tebe Poyem” ("To You we Sing") became the winner of the prestigious International Festival of Church Music

The Krasnoyarsk choir ensemble of soloists "Tebe Poyem" became the winner of the XXXVI International Festival of Church Music "Hajnowka-2017" (Bialystok, Poland) in the category "Professional Choirs". In this prestigious category two choirs: "Tebe Poyem" from Krasnoyarsk and "Khreshchatyk" from Kiev, shared the first place.

The International Festival of Church Music "Hajnowka" has been held since 1982 to promote the spiritual and musical heritage of the Orthodox Church, as well as to create a platform for dialogue and exchange of experience between representatives of various states and organizations. Over the period of the festival's existence, more than 800 choirs from 38 countries of the world have become participants of the festival. In 2017, the festival was attended by 24 parochial and secular choirs from Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Macedonia, Ukraine, Romania and Moldova.

"The best choirs of different countries participate in the festival of church music "Hajnowka", while the jury includes leading experts in the field of choral and church music from around the world," said Konstantin Yakobson, artistic director of the choir ensemble of soloists "Tebe Poyem". "That is why our first place in the festival is a great achievement, which confirms the high level and leading positions of the Krasnoyarsk school of choral singing."

The choir ensemble of soloists "Tebe Poyem" was created in 1991 on the basis of the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts. The founder and permanent artistic director of the ensemble is Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the International Academy of Sciences of Higher Education, Ph.D., Professor, Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch of the All-Russian Choir Society Konstantin Yakobson. "Tebe Poyem" successfully cooperates with Krasnoyarsk and foreign collectives and conductors and invariably receives high marks from experts and professional musicians.
