Foreign delegations shared their impressions of Krasnoyarsk

On June 11 Chinese Changchun Daily Newspaper published a report about the visit of Changchun City mass media representatives to Krasnoyarsk.

"Changchun is often referred to as a hospitable and welcoming city. That is the reason why so many cities around the world have become its sister-cities." One of these sister-cities is Krasnoyarsk.  Since 2014, when we "had shaken hands", we have continued friendly relations. This time the visit of mass media delegation from Changchun coincided with the Krasnoyarsk City Day. The festive events brought a storm of positive emotions to our delegation and strengthened international relations with Krasnoyarsk! " – says the article in the newspaper.

"In the center of Russia, in Krasnoyarsk, at the same table, there were three sister-cities: Krasnoyarsk, Žilina, Changchun. It was a warm meeting of good friends," wrote the journalist of the Changchun Daily Newspaper.

Foreign guests from two Krasnoyarsk's sister-cities, Žilina (Slovak Republic) and Changchun (Jilin Province, PRC) became the participants of the 2017 City Day celebration. The delegation from Slovakia was headed by the Vice-Mayor of Žilina Anton Trnovets, who has become a spectator and participant of festive events in Krasnoyarsk already for the second time. The guests walked in the column of the Children's Carnival, having noted that Krasnoyarsk amazed them with this cheerful, colorful and most interesting festival. They also visited the Open Bell Ringing Festival "The Bells of Siberia" in the Uspensky Monastery and listened to the compositions of the revived bell ringing art of Russia. Together with the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Edkham Akbulatov they visited the concert of the combined orchestra of folk instruments. And during the sightseeing tour of the Tatyshev island they could not escape being amazed at the scope of the project "Health Park in the center of the metropolis." Vivid impressions were made by the acquaintance with the preparations for a large-scale sports event presented in the XXIX Winter Universiade-2019 tent. Guests from Slovakia are sure that Krasnoyarsk has much to learn from and are glad that, despite the tense situation in international politics, we are still friends and are able to perfectly understand each other.

The delegation from Changchun included the representatives of various mass media. One of the main events of their visit was the round table on the topic "Features of the development of journalism in China and Russia" that was held in the editorial office of the Krasnoyarsk newspaper "Gorodskiye Novosti" ("City news"). Mr. Yu Xunlai, Deputy Head of the Advertising and Propaganda Department of the City Committee of Changchun City, noted that a close information exchange can be established between Krasnoyarsk and the three million Chinese city. We can share news in various fields: education, science and technology, sports, innovation. 

The delegation from the Chinese city particularly enjoyed the visit to the Flora and Fauna Park "Roev Ruchey".

The guests of the city had no idea what a great number of species and varieties of flora and fauna can be found in our zoo. The giraffes in particular caused real admiration among the members of the delegation. During the meeting with the park's managers were also discussed prospects for cooperation. Both sides are sure that such cooperation will be fruitful. This year in September the Jilin Symphony Orchestra will come from Changchun to participate in the International Festival of Chamber Orchestra Music "Asia - Siberia - Europe".
