Krasnoyarsk celebrates the City Day

A new concert ground was opened in the building of the main railway station in Krasnoyarsk

On June 9, the first day of the celebration of the City Day, a new concert ground was opened in the building of the main railway station in Krasnoyarsk. Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra led by the Honored Art Worker of Russia, art director and conductor Mikhail Benyumov, performed for the citizens and guests of the city. It should be noted that this project became possible thanks to the cooperation of the City Administration and the Krasnoyarsk Railway.

The head of the Krasnoyarsk railway station Elena Turosheva said: "The passengers of our station are looking forward to the concerts of the orchestra. If you remember, a few dozen years ago the station was a place for walks, accompanied by the sounds of the orchestra. Now we revive traditions with this project. Our passengers and all the visitors to the station leave a lot of positive feedback about this project in social networks. So, Krasnoyarsk citizens and guests of our city really need such concerts at the station."

We would like to add that the tradition of holding concerts at railway stations was known in Russia since the end of the XIX century, including Krasnoyarsk, where since 1895 there was a concert ground for a brass band to attract passengers at the city railway station. Currently, this practice is widely spread in European countries and in Japan.

Traditional festive competitions took place in Tatyshev Park on June 10 within the framework of the City Day - the Vth open city championship in  carrying wives

All the participants and guests of the event were greeted by Natalia Mukhgaleeva, Acting Head of KRASSPORT: "Firstly, I would like to congratulate all the participating families on the City Day. I hope that all of you will get only positive emotions from passing the distance. You show the whole city what true love is. "

This year the championship was held in the eastern part of the island on a grass field. The distance of the championship has increased to 300 meters. The organizers prepared for participants a difficult obstacle course consisting of a pool, a trampoline, a mud area with tires, a flyover, a "snake", a climb to the wooden podium and descent from it. As a result, the distance was covered by 34 couples.

During June 10 a spectacular sporting event took place in Tatyshev Park - "The Race of Heroes"

Krasnoyarsk citizens and guests of the city, who came to the Tatyshev island on June 10 witnessed a real sports show.

The camp of the federal project – a team military sports game "The Race of Heroes" was settled in the eastern part of the island. From the very morning the participants ran off to cover the distance of 10 km, 150 people every 20 minutes. As a result, about 1000 Krasnoyarsk citizens took part in "The Race of Heroes". The sports race of the all-Russian scale was organized according to the TRP standards, therefore the obstacles are designed so that the participants covering the distance can use all muscle groups. "The Race of Heroes" participants overcame series of horizontal bars, "tunnels", "scouts ground", water crossings, "Everest" and many other race parts.

In parallel with "The Race of Heroes" the open city parachuting championship began in the western part of the island. It was dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Air Route "Alaska-Siberia"

The participants of the championship made group jumps of 3 people from a height of more than 1,000 meters. Competitions were held in the discipline "Precision of landing (personal)." Parachutists landed directly to the main field of the island. In addition to the Krasnoyarsk sportsmen, parachute jumpers from the Irkutsk, Tomsk and Kemerovo oblasts took part in the competition.

The Theater Square became the central concert venue for the celebration of the City Day on June 10

The first to perform for the audience were the best children's choreographic groups and dance ensembles.

The choir ensemble of soloists "To You We Sing" presented Russian folk songs to the townspeople. People's stage dances were presented by the dance ensemble "Yenisei Dawns" named after G. Petukhov.

On June 10, a rich evening program was opened by an owner of a most beautiful voice with a really wide range - folk singer Natalia Bannova.

The concert program was continued by the group "Yahont", which treated its fans to a special program. The popular band performed together with young vocalists - pupils of children's music schools and art schools. The pupils of children's art schools No. 15 and No. 16, as well as children's music school No. 2 performed on the same stage with the professionals. At the end of their program, the audience enjoyed the widely popular song "My Krasnoyarsk".

The concert program was completed by the performance of our countrywoman, the winner of the project "Voice-2016" Daria Antonyuk.

By the time Darya Antonyuk appeared on the stage, the Theater Square was completely filled. Before the performance, the Siberian woman and the winner of the "Voice-2016" project Daria Antonyuk was officially appointed an Ambassador of the Winter Universiade-2019. After this solemn moment the young woman congratulated the citizens on the City Day. The first song in her program was the world-famous "Happy birthday" in English.

The traditional track and field race "Krasnoyarsk Chapel-2017" took place in Krasnoyarsk

In the morning of June 11 was held the track and field athletics race "Krasnoyarsk Chapel" dedicated to the 389th Anniversary of the City.

About 400 fans of track and field athletics took part in the race. They ran along the route passing the city historical and landmark places. The athletes started from the Historic Gate in the Mira Square, the place where the Krasnoyarsk fortress was founded. The length of the route is 3740 m, the height difference is 106 m.

All participants were awarded commemorative medals of the race at the distance finish.

The site of the project "Art-bank" became for the youth center of attraction as part of the celebration of the City Day on June 11

The left bank embankment is traditionally one of the main places for celebrating the City Day and 2017 was no exception.

At 16.00 the main stage hosted the bard songs concert "The Soul of Krasnoyarsk".

Immediately after the concert of the bard songs on the embankment in the area of the large wooden amphitheater an orchestral flash mob "Summer Yenisei Consonance" began; the participants included the brass band of the Krasnoyarsk College of Arts named after P.I. Ivanov-Radkevich and the Krasnoyarsk brass band.

During the orchestral flash mob, the audience had a chance to enjoy the compositions from cartoons, jazz, fantasies on the themes from the movie "Sherlock Holmes", a medley of the "ABBA" songs and many others.

After the flash mob on the left-bank embankment venue, the youth event "Biryusinskaya Wave" was launched, a kind of a pre-Biryusa event, which gathers the youth squads - future participants of the youth forum "Territory of Initiative Youth "Biryusa". The volunteers presented their interactive locations, where the Krasnoyarsk people could get acquainted with the activities of each of them. Grigory Yemtsov sang from the stage the hymn to the forum "Territory of Initiative Youth" Biryusa".

From 18.00 was open the traditional venue of the project "Art-shore", a creative meadow under the Communal bridge. This time the venue was working in the format of an "open microphone", where any citizen of Krasnoyarsk could perform their favorite songs.
