​Krasnoyarsk will host the interregional round of the APEC BEST AWARD, international contest of women's business practices of the APEC Economies

The contest is held in the framework of APEC Women and the Economy Forum, which will be held on September 22-26 in Vietnam. The organizer of the contest is the public organization of small and medium-sized business "Opora of Russia" with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Administration of the city of Krasnoyarsk. Krasnoyarsk is declared an interregional platform for holding the first qualifying round among the regions of the Siberian Federal District.

The APEC Business Efficiency and Success Target Award (APEC BEST AWARD) is aimed at promoting and expanding economic opportunities for integrating into the world market of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises among women of 21 APEC Economies.

The Head of the Committee for the Development of Women's and Social Entrepreneurship of the "Opora of Russia" Regional Office for the Krasnoyarsk Region Tatiana Mikhienko said: "This project has a huge social significance. In the context of the contemporary radical reform of social relations in Russia, the role of women in society is changing radically, and its social functions are differently defined. Women are actively involved in various types of life activities, brought about by the needs of the market economy, including in the system of entrepreneurship. Women not only continue to be one of the decisive factors of social production in general, but also it is the deployment of women's entrepreneurship that creates today the opportunities for building up the innovative potential of the modern Russian economy."

To date, more than 30 applications from women entrepreneurs have been submitted for participation in the contest, whose business has more than two years of successful practice, has been put on the break-even stage, has a unique structure and can be replicated in other regions of the Russian Federation, as well as on the international level.

Representatives of the women's business community in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul, Biysk will compete in the following categories:

- "The best project"

- "The best growth potential"

- "The best business model"

- "The best social project"

- "The best green economy project."

The contestants will be assessed by a competent jury, which includes representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Region authorities and the Krasnoyarsk Administration, leading experts from the business community of Krasnoyarsk and Moscow.

The winner of the first qualifying stage will be able to compete with the successful business ladies of Moscow in August and win a ticket to Vietnam, where the final contest for women entrepreneurs from all countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation will be held.

Within the framework of the contest, leading business experts from Moscow and Krasnoyarsk will also organize a workshop "Foreign Economic Activity and Modern Economy. Everything a businessman needs to know before entering the international market." At this discussion platform entrepreneurs will be able to get real practical advice on the issues of entering the international market.
