Krasnoyarsk is awarded the third place diploma in the national competition "The Best-Managed Settlement of Russia" based on the results of 2015

On April 14th, the Federation Council hosted a meeting of the Council for Local Self-Government, at which issues of improving the territories of settlements were discussed and the diplomas were awarded to the winners of the national competition for the title "The Best-Managed Urban (Rural) Settlement of Russia".

During the meeting, special attention was devoted to the issues of interaction with the civil society on the improvement of the territories of settlements, public control, sharing best practices of Russian cities in the areas related to the arrangement of a comfortable living environment for the citizens of Russian. The participants of the meeting discussed the need to develop methodological recommendations for the preparation of guidelines for the improvement of the territory of settlements and urban districts. Attention was also focused on the organization of systematic improvement of the skills of specialists engaged in city improvement and a number of other issues.

After the discussion, the winners of the national competition for the title of "The Best-Managed Urban (Rural) Settlement of Russia", held by the Ministry of Construction of Russia, were awarded with diplomas.

The ceremony was attended by: Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on the Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and the Affairs of the North Dmitry Azarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Stephan Kirichuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak , Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Mikhail Men.

During the telephone conference on April 17th, the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk stressed that: "The third place in the national competition "The Best-Managed Settlement of Russia" based on the results of 2015 is a mutual achievement of all Krasnoyarsk citizens. Together we were able to implement a number of projects for city improvement, making it more comfortable, transforming the urban environment as a whole. And we will continue our work in this direction."

We can add that at the instruction of the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Edkham Akbulatov, the diploma signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev will be widely presented throughout the city community.​
