"We had a meeting with the representatives of the International Orienteering Federation , who noted that Krasnoyarsk World Championship was one of the best ones in the history of Ski Orienteering.- says Milan Augustin, FISU WU Director. – I would like to underline that it will be very difficult for the next organizers to conduct the World Championships at the same high level. These competitions appeared very useful for the team of the Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019 to gain experience. When organizing a large sports event, the first priority is that the athletes would feel everything has been arranged for them to compete, and Krasnoyarsk managed to do that! One more important issue is affordability and visual appeal of the sports for the supporters, who could watch the athletes not only at the stadium but also on the Internet. We are very grateful to the Match-TV specialists who provided online broadcasting. And in addition, how did you manage to order good weather? (smiles). I believe the weather will be same marvelous during the Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019 and all the competitions in Krasnoyarsk will be arranged in the good atmosphere as it has been during the World Ski Orienteering Championship".

 COMMENTS BY WINNERS AND PRIZE-WINNERS:

 Russian national team (Gold)

Andrey Lamov: - It was extremely difficult since I knew Erik Rost was behind and doing his stable race. The track was hard to run. I set my mind on the medal, showed quick pace at the distance, and was 100% focused: no extra movements, no mistakes and falls. All our team did an excellent work!

Kirill Veselov: - After the yesterday's long distance it was important to restore forces so that I could show my best at the last race of the championship. It was hard, we all worked and knew the aim of our yearly training. Of course, it is a pity that men's team has only one gold medal, but we all did our best, suffered, and worked!
