​Mayor of Krasnoyarsk  Edkham  Akbulatov met with Victor Shetko - Head of the  Department of the Republic of Belarus Embassy in Russian Federation in Krasnoyarsk. The Head  of the  Department Republic of Belarus Embassy in the Russian Federation in Krasnoyarsk Victor Shetko was appointed on this position in December, 2016. The first meeting  with Mayor of Krasnoyarsk  Edkham  Akbulatov took place on 31st  of January, 2017.

Mayor of Krasnoyarsk  Edkham  Akbulatov accented, that Krasnoyarsk is a an international metropolitan city. Peace and harmony between the representatives of different nations -  are not just simple words for residents of our city: «We work together in order to achieve the high level of development. For example, the space of the public initiatives was organized  in  Tatyshev Island in 2015. Different kinds of events, including national holidays, are conducted here.  It shows how Krasnoyarsk people are united, open and intended for cooperation».

The development of trade-economic cooperation between Republic of Belarus and Krasnoyarsk  become the main aspect of the meeting. The opportunity of the cooperated realization of the project in the  passenger transport sphere become the most interesting issue.

«There is a large scale production of modern transport means in Belarus.  For example, noncontact trolleys. Their charging conducts at the end of the route and takes only 5 minutes. As for the tramways, we are using a foreign technology for a long time. The presentation of the first electrobus was performed in the end of the past year. Today, Russian customers have already ordered  the delivery of electrobuses», said Victor Shetko.

Mayor of Krasnoyarsk  Edkham  Akbulatov said,  that these aspects are very actual because of coming Krasnoyarsk Univesiade 2019 .

The opportunity of realization of the cooperated project of Krasnoyarsk and Belorussian  entrepreneurs, who are  producing elevators,  become the object of interest during the meeting.

Krasnoyarsk and the Republic of Belarus are connecting with the strong friendship: Krasnoyarsk City Administration has concluded protocols of intent and agreements on cooperation with Mogilev(Belarus) in 2011. Cultural industry is also evolving: pupils from Belarus participate in annual Krasnoyarsk International Charity Festival «Children to children». Moreover, Belorussian sculptors participated in the International Festival-Competition of snow and ice sculptures «Magic ice of Siberia» for the first time in January, 2017.
