The exposition, dedicated to the phenomena of hope itself, united a total of 19 modern art exhibitions created by various Russian cultural institutions. According to project director Sergei Kovalevsky, the event creates a "hybrid genre at the intersection of art and museum practices."

This year, curators invite guests to take a fresh look at the "vertical dimension in everyday things," combining traditional museum methods with the language of contemporary art.

Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale, a festival of contemporary art,  has been organized by the «Ploshchad Mira» Museum Center since 1995. It is considered to be one of the first ever such event in the country. The Biennale programmes usually include whimsical expositions, public art, and various educational projects. Artists from Russia and other countries participate.
