In 2025 Krasnoyarsk holds the final of the 5th International Olympiad on Financial Security, bringing together 600 school and university students from 40 countries. The participants will take part in more than 80 educational, professional, cultural and sports events, including panel discussions, expert meetings, etc. International Forum "Risks of new technologies: dialogue between generations in the field of financial security" will be a part of the Olympiad.

The initiative to hold the final of the Olympiad in Krasnoyarsk was put forward by the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Mikhail Kotyukov and the Head of the Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chihanchin and was supported by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) was chosen as the venue for the final of the Olympiad.

The International Olympiad on Financial Security was initiated in 2021 by Vladimir Putin as a part of the National Project “Youth and Children”. It immediately won recognition from the expert community, specialists, and educators, attracting great interest from young people. The main goals are the search for talented youth in the financial security sphere and involving people in financial security issues.

The team of the Krasnoyarsk Region successfully passed all previous rounds of the Olympiad and is now ready for the final. 29 students of the Siberian Federal University, Physics and Mathematics Boarding School of the Siberian Federal University and Zheleznogorsk School of Cosmonautics will represent the Krasnoyarsk Region in the competition. The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region met with the students and wished good luck and victory to them. During the meeting the contemporary challenges and various aspects of financial security were discussed.
