25.09.2025A delegation of official and business circles from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, led by Deputy Governor Valery Semenov, visited Yerevan and the Tavush region to expand foreign economic ties and establish new partnerships.

Krasnoyarsk representatives gave a presentation on the trade, economic, industrial, agricultural, tourism, and educational potential of the Krasnoyarsk Region at the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in Armenia. Sergey Solomin, Trade Representative of Russia to the Republic of Armenia, and Anastasia Ivanova, Representative of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to the Republic of Armenia, delivered welcoming remarks.
The Republic of Armenia is one of the five largest trading partners of the Krasnoyarsk Region, ranking fourth in trade turnover and first in exports among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Tourist Information Centre of the Krasnoyarsk Region and the Armenian Tourism Federation. The parties agreed that direct air travel routes between Krasnoyarsk and Yerevan will facilitate the growth of mutual tourist traffic.
At the invitation of the Governor Gaik Galumyan, the regional delegation visited the cities of Ijevan and Dilijan. The parties discussed developing cooperation in industry, agriculture, culture, tourism, education, and youth exchanges. The delegation representatives learned about the operational experience of several leading enterprises in the region. At the Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University, the parties discussed the prospects for organising academic exchanges and the possibility of training personnel in the hospitality and gastronomy industries at Siberian Federal University.
As part of the "Children to Children" Krasnoyarsk humanitarian project, drawings of Krasnoyarsk landmarks were donated by students of the Surikov Children's Art School to the Russian Centre in Dilijan and the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Dilijan Children's Art School.

The presentation of the Siberian region generated great interest among the business community of the Tavush Region. Krasnoyarsk entrepreneurs, in turn, noted that this format of communication was a unique opportunity to strengthen international partnerships, showcase their experience, and identify new areas of cooperation in foreign markets.
The visit resulted in multiple documents signed, including the official Memorandum of Intent on cooperation signed between the Tourist Information Centre of the Krasnoyarsk Region and the Tavush Region Tourism Development Agency, a cooperation agreement between the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and the Tavsho Orovel Sustainable Food Systems Support Fund, and a memorandum between Siberian Federal University and the Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University.

The Memorandum of Intent between the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region (Russia) and the Governor of the Tavush Region (Armenia) was signed in March 2023 in Tsaghkadzor at the 36th meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
