The International Youth Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in Memory of Buvaysar Saitiev was held for the 20th time this year. The competition took place at the Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace. For the first time, the event was organised without the man who inspired athletes with his example — without the three-time Olympic champion himself. The legendary wrestler passed away on March 2, 2025.

Wrestlers from eight countries came to the tournament, including Russia, Abkhazia, Belgium, Kazakhstan, China, Moldova, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. A total of 302 wrestlers under 18 participated, among those winners and prize winners of World, European and Asian championships.

Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Region took five medals: two gold medals went to Nikita Kondrashov (42 kg) and Kirill Kondrashov (45 kg), two silver medals to Ruslan Chaniev (42 kg) and Aiyrash Saryglar (48 kg), and one bronze medal to Abubakar Khudigov (65 kg).​
