Local residents have once again summed up the results of the annual New Year Eve's tradition of giving the city a true Christmas makeover. 

The most popular nomination remains "The Best Winter Yard of a Residential Apartment Building", as the management companies are creating a magical New Year's atmosphere for their residents.

In the Sverdlovsky district, the jury unanimously voted for the courtyard area on the Sudostroitelnaya St, which rightfully took first place in the most competitive nomination. The title of "Best Showcase" this year was given to the "Ermak" store and "The best winter office spot" was the territory of LLC "Krasnoyarsk cement", where you can see the luminous figures of deer and the symbol of the coming year.

In the Centralny District, the jury chose restaurant Mama Roma, whose owners not only installed several Christmas trees of different styles, but also decorated the windows and the entrance group with garlands, and the spot by a local pharmacy Gubernskie Apteki.

— Every year, the level of competence of participants in the contest is only growing. And if in summer we encourage active residents who make the city around them more beautiful, in winter the focus is on caring entrepreneurs, – said Evgeny Trofimov, head of the Central District administration.

The best hand-made ornaments of the city were also announced recently. Traditionally, the competition has been held on the New Year's Eve for more than 15 years. This year the competition was joined by families with children. They prepared works in four nominations: for the best New Year's toy, composition, mask and in the special nomination of this year "New Year of the Peoples of Russia".

— New Year is a family holiday, so we have changed the conditions of the competition. Only families with children could participate. In addition to children and parents, grandparents could help in making crafts. The task of the competition is to unite relatives and friends during the preparation of crafts, create a New Year's mood and ensure the shared experience and communication between generations, - said Tatyana Ivleva, chairman of the jury, director of the Victory Memorial Museum.

In the nomination "New Year's composition" the jury unanimously chose the work "Buratino. Alice the Fox and Basilio the Cat" of the Mikhailovy family from the Kirovsky district.

The best New Year's toy was the figurine of a girl on skis. It is called "A look into the Past", and was made by the Antipovy-Bayushkiny family from the Kirovsky district.

The first place in the nomination "New Year's mask" was given to the work "Star Shaman" by the Mikhailovy family from the Soviet District. In the nomination "New Year of the Peoples of Russia", the winner was the mask "Ancient God of Siberia" by the Lopatiny family from the Soviet District.
