Starting November 25, Krasnoyarsk pro-women organisations and activists began the events of the annual charity festival "NE VINOVATA" ("Not Her Fault"). The charity was created to draw attention to the problem of gender-based violence and provide support to centres dealing with this problem.

The festival will be taking place up to December 10, as part of the international campaign The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. The schedule includes a collage workshop by a professional artist, lectures with experts from a crisis centre, an exhibition of works by visual artists, a concert with the participation of Krasnoyarsk musicians, themed film screenings, as well as a garage sale. All profits will go to the Centre for Helping Victims of Domestic Violence "Verba" and the Consortium of Women's NGOs.

— "It's her own fault" is what a woman who has experienced abuse most often hears. So we say it's "Not Her Fault", – the organizers explained.

This event is held in the regional center annually:

  • In 2019, a concert took place at a local bar. Sasha Ogorodnikov, TeplovisoR, niktoni4ego, Star Destroyer and Olya Kadyrova performed on stage. 11,200 rubles were sent to "Verba".

  • In 2020, the campaign continued for 3 days. On March 7, Vasilina Stepanova gave a lecture on "Why doesn't she leave?", on March 8, the organisers opened an exhibition of Siberian artists VulvaVulgaris, and on the 9th a concert with the participation of various musicians took place. The organisers managed to collect and send 28,525 rubles to the centre!

  • In 2021, the festival went online. A creative team from Krasnoyarsk prepared short films about domestic violence, as well as an interview with the head of the crisis centre "Verba".
