​​Biathlete Natalya Gerbulova takes bronze medal of the IBU World Cup stage

Krasnoyarsk biathlete performed at the IBU World Cup stage in the Slovak Brezno-Osrblie. In the sprint race among women, the athlete of the Krasnoyarsk regional biathlon academy Natalya Gerbulova won a bronze medal.

The athlete did not make a single mistake, but ultimately lost to Camille Benet from France, who became the winner of the race, and compatriot Evgenia Burtasova.


Nadezhda Sergeeva wins bronze at the European Championship in monobob

St. Moritz, Switzerland, hosted the stage of the World Monobob Bobsleigh Series, within which the medals of the European Championship were played for the first time in history. An athlete from the Krasnoyarsk Regional Academy of Winter Sports Nadezhda Sergeeva became the bronze medalist of the European Championship.

The first place in the Championship was taken by German athlete Mariama Jamanka (result: 2:23.24), the second was also the representative of Germany Laura Nolte (lag +0.01). Nadezhda Sergeeva was 1.02 seconds behind the leader.


Krasnoyarsk bobsledder crew receives the European Cup

Alexei Stulnev from Krasnoyarsk achieved first place in the overall standings of the European Cup in bobsleigh in the four-man competition. At the last stage of the competition, which took place in Winterberg, Germany, the Russian team took fourth place.

Due to this turn of events, Stulnev's crew scored 906 points, thus becoming the winner of the European Cup.

The second place was taken by the team from Germany led by Richard Elsner (722 points), the third was taken by the Swiss team of Cedric Follador (712).


European Figure Skating Champions to shape up for the 2022 Olympics in Krasnoyarsk

The European Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn was the last major tournament for Russian figure skaters before performing at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. In total, the European Championship brought us nine awards: four gold, three silver and two bronze medals. Ahead of the athletes is the Pre-Olympic stage of preparation, which will be held from January 22 in Krasnoyarsk, in the Crystal Arena ice palace.

In women's single skating, all the medals were won by Russian figure skaters: Kamila Valieva became the champion, Anna Shcherbakova won silver, while Alexandra Trusova was on the third step of the podium. Competitions in men's single skating ended with the victory of the Russian Mark Kondratyuk, the silver was won by the Italian Daniel Grassl, the bronze was won by the Latvian figure skater Denis Vasiliev.

In pair skating, Russians Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov became champions, Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov took second place, Alexandra Boikova and Dmitri Kozlovsky took bronze. Among the dance duets, Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov came first, Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin were second, and Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri from Italy were third.

Figure skating competitions at the Olympics in the capital of China will be held from 4 to 20 February. The final composition of the skaters to represent our country at the competition will be announced by the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) in the near future.

Athletes of the Russian snowboard cross team also plan on spending some time on pre-Olympic preparations in Krasnoyarsk. The Sopka cluster of Siberian Federal University was chosen as a training facility for the team.
