Krasnoyarsk school student Taisia Skobelina makes unique dolls from glue and silk threads using her own technology. The collection of the high schooler contains more than a hundred original items.

The craftswoman forms the arms, legs and torso of the dolls from a plastic base, which she makes from 'Moment' brand glue. The glue is washed in running water, acetone is washed out from it and so a mass for modeling is obtained. The parts are connected with wire. For sewing a doll's wardrobe, the creator uses thin fabrics. Taisia decorates her toy models with sparkles and cosmetic eyeshadows, while silk threads make for a lush hairdo. The needlewoman always works in a respirator, since the "plasticine" made from glue is very toxic.

The creator draws inspiration from Chinese novels, ancient Russian history, books, cinema and cartoons. The large collection includes dolls in Russian and Chinese national costumes, Japanese cartoon characters and even shaman dolls.

— I started sculpting from glue in the 4th grade. I used to make simple pinback buttons and flat dolls, but now I have more complex work in my resume. One of the latest, a doll more than 20 centimeters high, I worked on for almost two weeks. But the complexity does not always depend on the size of the doll, sometimes it takes several days for one hairstyle.

Such a hobby is not only laborious, but also quite costly, since the cost of materials for a single manufacture is about 5 thousand rubles. The craftswoman does not plan to make money on her hobby yet and often donates her work to her friends.​
