Schoolchildren of one of the Krasnoyarsk public schools decided to adorn the walls of the local pedestrian crossing with drawings depicting the city's most notable locations.

The pedestrian crossing was completely renovated this summer by the municipality. Previously, this part of the overpass was in a truly poor shape, the local vandals and hooligans often messed with the lighting systems and drew graffiti on the walls.

The project sketches were initially developed by teachers and kids together, the local management company supported the initiative, and so the materials for the work were purchased. It took an entire week for the talented children to decorate the walls completely, but now local residents have the opportunity to admire the Krasnoyarsk Big Ben, the Yaryginsky Palace of Sports, the Tsar Fish Monument, the Communal Bridge and other sights of Krasnoyarsk all in one place.

«We believe that it is very important to display all the objects of the architectural heritage of Krasnoyarsk in the new microdistrict, – says Ekaterina Merzheevskaya, head of the art studio of school №157. – The main sights are painted over the Sayan mountain range and demonstrate not only the scale and beauty of our architecture, but also the uniqueness of the landscape of the regional capital.»

In addition to depicting the symbols of the city, the kids drew a picture "Think it! Speak it! Do it!" The composition of signs and symbols reminds us that all the achievements of mankind once began as ideas, but thanks to action, they were embodied in life.
