The exhibition fittingly titled «Yenisei — the territory of art» launched in Sibir Exhibition Centre. The exposition consists of over 400 artworks in painting, graphics, sculpture and crafts by 135 artists.

The great water element enchanted more than just one generation of painters with its beauty. We meet the great Yenisei  river on canvases of well-recognized masters, such as Vasily Surikov, Dmitri Karatanov, Andrei Lekarenko, as well as in the works of contemporary artists like Valerian Sergin, Konstantin Voinov, Georgy Kuzakov and many others.

The Krasnoyarsk landscape painting school, which so loudly manifested in the 1960s, continues to develop today, too. Young creators, having absorbed the traditions and experience of their mentors, will surprise the visitors with their unusual, philosophically profound works. In the paintings of Evgenia Ablyazova, Sergei Nazarov, Anton Tkhorenko, Yulia Becker, the guests will see both familiar native places and new corners of our nature that reveal the true power and beauty of Siberia.

The Krasnoyarsk Region is the centre of Russian fine arts. It is here that a multi-stage system of professional art education operates: children's art schools, the Vasily Surikov Art School, the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Siberian State Institute of Arts and the regional branch of the Russian Academy of Arts.

At the exhibition, one will get to know not only paintings and graphic works, but also some of the finest ceramic and sculptural works. Wooden panels, stone sculptures, fur works based on northern ethnography will immerse you in the harsh, diverse and beautiful world of Siberia.
