The 2022 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship's drawing ceremony took place in Moscow. At the event broadcast online it was determined in which group and in which city each of the 24 national teams will play during the first group stage.

As such, the culmination of the ceremony wasn't the performances shown, but the distribution of groups to cities. The matches of the first group stage will be hosted by Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Ufa.

In Krasnoyarsk, the matches will be played from August 27 to August 29, 2022 by the following: the team of Argentina, who became bronze medalists of the 2020 Olympic Games; the Iranian national team, the champions of Asia in 2021; the Netherlands' national team, which won the bronze medal of the 2019 Euroleague; and the Egyptian team, the bronze medal winners of the African Championship in 2021.
