10.09.2021On the 9th of September Mayor Sergei Eremin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Russian Federation Krystyna Marty Lang, for whom it was her first visit to Krasnoyarsk. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk City Council of Deputies Natalia Firyulina.
Welcoming the members of the Swiss delegation, the Mayor thanked Krystyna Marty Lang for visiting Krasnoyarsk, as well as for organizing a working trip to our city for a delegation of representatives of Swiss business companies. Sergei Eremin expressed confidence that the meeting and further negotiations will be fruitful, and the results of those will be mutually beneficial.

Our city is actively developing, we strive to study all available effective technologies in the field of urban economy, as well as apply them in practice. We have made a long journey from the very center of Europe to the very heart of Siberia. Krystyna Marty Lang also added that the issues of urban space development, transport, waste management, especially in the post-pandemic reality, are relevant for all countries, including Switzerland.
We should study these issues together and understand how we could cooperate in these areas. I am sure that both Switzerland municipalities and their Krasnoyarsk colleagues have interesting practices to be shared and learned from. Further during meeting, Swiss businessmen presented the activity of their companies both in Switzerland and in Russia in various sectors of economy: chemical, energy, construction and other industries. The representatives of the Krasnoyarsk City Administration and the Swiss business community exchanged contacts to develop future cooperation.
