«This year our festival has passed another anniversary milestone. I sincerely thank everyone who was involved in the preparation of the event, without which it is already difficult to imagine winter in Krasnoyarsk, – Mayor Sergei Eremin shared in his welcome speech to guests and participants of the concert. – This time the restrictions prompted the organizers to implement some unorthodox ideas. A separate block of online events and quests has appeared in the programme. Students back at Siberian Federal University developed a mobile application specially for the occasion. It's those innovations that made it possible to have even more discussions about the work of Vasily Ivanovich Surikov on modern terms. And this once again proved the main uniqueness of the festival - going beyond the trivial and opening new facets of art.»

Literary text, video sequences with the artist's canvases and live music merged together to tell the audience about the life and creative path of our truly outstanding countryman.

«The idea of the concert was born out of the desire to find harmony between two types of art – music and painting. This desire is akin to the ideas of Surikov himself, who loved music with all his heart and considered it an "outlet" of painting,» - said the author of the programme, art critic Lyudmila Gavrilova.

The special guest of the concert was Rimma Benyumova (violin, Russia-Germany), laureate of international competitions, winner of the special prize by Mayor of the city at the I International Viktor Tretyakov Violin Competition.
