Among other participants were Sergei Tselebrovsky, the winning sculptor from Krasnoyarsk, and his colleagues from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Penza, Cheboksary and Yakutsk. The artists created 10 ice compositions based on fairy tales of the peoples of the world. 33 tons of ice were used to make the sculptures.

«Each composition is not only complex, but absolutely unique. It took the authors about a month to prepare sketches and layouts of each of them. The height of some of the sculptures exceeds 3.5 meters,» — the press service of the Podolsk City Administration shared.

Sergei Tselebrovsky built a composition he called 'Mowgli', for which the artist ultimately received the Grand Prix of the competition.

In addition to Mowgli, the public space next to the main city tree graced the «Flying Ship», «Aladdin's Magic Lamp», «The Nutcracker», «The Little Prince», «The Tale of Tsar Saltan», «Alice Through the Looking Glass» compositions among many others. The Audience Award went to the sculptor Arkhip Scriabin from the Sakha Republic for his «The Brave Girl and the Twelve-Horned Deer».

This year, unfortunately, Krasnoyarsk will not host the traditional Magic Ice of Siberia festival-competition. It was canceled in order not to downgrade the status of the event due to the absence of foreign participants.
