​Results of the VI All-Russian competition «The Most Well-Read Region» have finally been announced, with Krasnoyarsk Region making it into the shortlist.

Sakha (Yakutia) became the most well-read region, with the Astrakhan Region, the Republic of Tatarstan and St. Petersburg being the laureates. The top twenty regions that formed the shortlist of the competition also included: Novosibirsk Region, Moscow, Voronezh Region, Irkutsk Region, Stavropol Region, Krasnodar Region, Krasnoyarsk Region, Chuvash Republic, Moscow Region, Sverdlovsk Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region, Vladimir Region, Penza Region, Udmurt Republic, Saratov Region, Ulyanovsk Region.

The competition was taking place throughout the whole year. The regions were to present their most significant literary project. Additional emphasis in the competition was given to statistics on reading infrastructure.

Our region presented the project titled the Krasnoyarsk Billion. Residents of Krasnoyarsk participating in this project may add the pages they have recently read so that at the end it can turn out to be a billion. You can follow the updates on the project page.
