​​​The International Ski Federation (FIS) has approved the dates for the Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships in Krasnoyarsk. The competitions will be taking place from 15 to 28 March 2021 on the tracks of the Sopka cluster.

«The competition will be held on the territory of the Sopka cluster, which has already hosted freestyle competitions during the Winter Universiade 2019 and such. We take the organisation and conduct of the World Championships with all seriousness and responsibility. It's the first time for our country to host such a worldwide important event dedicated to freestyle and snowboarding,» – commented the President of the Russian Freestyle Federation Alexei Kurashov.

It is assumed that about 2-3 thousand representatives of sports delegations will arrive in Krasnoyarsk for the competition, including coaches, athletes and various technical personnel. The Championships will be giving away up to 30 sets of medals in all disciplines of freestyle and snowboarding.

Initially, Krasnoyarsk received the right to host the competitions at the online meeting of the Council of the International Ski Federation (FIS), which took place on May 25, 2020.
