​On August 29, Krasnoyarsk will join the annual all-Russian Movie Night event. This year will mark the fifth time the Movie Night is being held.

Traditionally, cinemas, concert halls, museums and libraries alike prepare movie screenings, master classes and meetings with actors, lectures and concert programmes for guests to enjoy. This year, due to the coronavirus restrictions still in force in the city, the action will be mainly taking place online. The main event will still be the long-awaited film showings, organised in accordance with all safety rules.

On Saturday evening, the citizens will be able to watch big screen action in two open areas. The audience will enjoy several latest Russian films. In addition, one can watch historical films about Krasnoyarsk on Karaulnaya Gora.

Although the screenings are free of charge, to visit the outdoor cinema, one will need to sign in beforehand, and for each of the films in the programme separately. 

The cultural institutions of the city have prepared a special online programme for the event – Krasnoyarsk libraries promise to host movie quizzes, trivia games, etc. online.
