A tourism and recreation business cluster, which included small and medium-sized businesses representatives, was just created in the Krasnoyarsk Region.

«The agreement on the formation and development of the Regional Tourism and Recreation Cluster was signed between the Business Development Agency, the tourism agency and various entrepreneurs of the region. The formation included eight small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the «Turisticheskaya Mana» regional public fund. The tourism agency of the Krasnoyarsk Region will act asthe cluster coordinator, while the business development agency will be the operator,» – the statement confirms.

The cluster will not be restricted by any territorial boundaries and is aimed at uniting representatives of the tourism industry from different municipalities of the region. The formation may include educational, scientific institutions, non-profit and public organisations, as well as government and local authorities.

Those joining are to have the opportunity to receive state grants for the development of business plans and projects’ feasibility studies, certification and licensing of goods and services, personnel training, marketing research and advertising and information campaigns. The costs of the outsourced organizations services for entrepreneurs will reach as little as 5%, whereas the rest is to be covered by the business development agency.

According to the tourism agency, more than 770 thousand tourists visit the region annually (the latest data for 2018, there are no official statistics for 2019 as of yet). The annual increase in the tourist flow is 10%.
