“We are now laying down a Russian-made passenger ship. It will deliver the residents and guests to the Krasnoyarsk Region to its most remote areas. The ship will host a speedboat that will deliver passengers to places which have no mooring berths,” said the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov at the laying ceremony.

"Andrey Dubensky" (named after the founder of Krasnoyarsk) is the first ship of the A45-90.2 project. The shipyard, under a contract with the State Transport Leasing Company, is to build two passenger vessels of the "river-sea" class. The second ship will be named "Victor Astafiev" after the famous Siberian writer. The ships are designed to carry 245 passengers and in their trips to the north of the Krasnoyarsk Region will cover a distance of up to 5 thousand km. The vessels will operate on the Krasnoyarsk - Dudinka - Krasnoyarsk route, which is socially significant for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

“Passenger traffic along the Yenisei river is very important for us. Yenisei is a rough, mighty river, one of the most water-abundant rivers on our planet, and, of course, our the passenger fleet needs modernization. These new ships have unique characteristics in terms of travele distance, travel autonomy. They will be able to approach unsettled banks and work in very difficult climatic conditions with extreme temperature changes", - said the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss.
