On June 2, Governor Alexander Uss and Mayor Sergei Eremin visited the Historic Block, currently being created in Krasnoyarsk – a brand new public space bound to become one of the most iconic places for Krasnoyarsk residents and guests of the city alike.

The facility restorations, which began in 2017, is part of a big project aimed at changing the face of the city on the eve of its 400th anniversary. Historical ‘artifacts’ will also be restored in other parts of Krasnoyarsk and the region.

– We are certainly proud of the industrial power of our city and region. But we also acknowledge the fact that the historical aspect is the most important to improve in the environment of any city, including Krasnoyarsk with its rich cultural past. I think the Historic Block will become one of the warmest and most beloved places in Krasnoyarsk, – the Governor said.

Another project for the future is the formation of a tourist attraction titled Fragment of the Cossack Sloboda. In the centre of the project is an old house of Saint Luke the Surgeon (Valentin Voyno-Yasenetsky). The plan is to place the Museum of Voyno-Yasenetsky, an art gallery, catering points, hostels, workshops, etc.
