Krasnoyarsk will host the FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships in 2021. The decision was made following an online meeting of the International Ski Federation.

Competitions are to take place on the territory of the Sopka cluster. Each of the six tracks prepared for the Championships will be equipped with the snow formation, lighting, chairlift and rope tows systems.

«The fact that the choice fell on Krasnoyarsk for the Chamiponships is not accidental. We did a great job hosting the 2019 World Winter Universiade, as well as the stages of the Freestyle Skiing World Cup. I’m sure that the next sporting event will be held at a high level, too,» – commented Regional Minister of Sports Pavel Rostovtsev.

Krasnoyarsk is a contender for the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships in 2025. The commission promises to make a decision in October 2020.
