The results of the ISKRA - 2020 contest (competition of social projects dedicated to the development of urban spaces), which is annually held with the support of Mayor Sergei Eremin, have been finally announced. According to the Mayor himself, the creativity of young designers and architects, their fresh look at the urban environment help create atmospheric public spaces with their own «faces». Therefore, it is important to support the ideas of young Krasnoyarsk residents and give them the opportunity to translate their ideas into the cityscape.

This year, young architects, urban designers and artists submitted a total of 29 projects for the competition. The jury experts, which included representatives of the city’s architectural community, artists, representatives of the city administration and public figures, evaluated the originality and novelty of the projects, taking into account the degree of elaboration and compatibility with the surrounding space. According to the results of the expert commission meeting, the winners will receive subsidies for the implementation of their projects.

«The new art objects created by young creative Krasnoyarsk people will be installed this year in the G.V. Yudin park, Predmostnaya Square and other public spaces. Now, the authors of the winning projects will refine their art objects with the members of the expert commission, including selecting the most suitable urban spaces for installation, while also acknowledging the surrounding infrastructure and landscape. Then, the authors will be waiting for the actual realisation of their ideas on the streets of Krasnoyarsk. We hope that the residents will appreciate the result,» – said Veronika Kloberdants, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Youth Policy and Tourism.
