On March 8, International Women's Day, Krasnoyarsk summed up the results of the Freestyle Skiing World Cup and determined the winners of the Crystal Globes award.

The competitions were taking place on the tracks of the Sopka cluster in Krasnoyarsk. Representatives of 15 countries arrived in the city to join the Cup, including athletes of China, where the coronavirus was currently raging. Athletes from Italy were forced to skip the competition.

Laura Peel from Australia won the women’s category (96.99 points). The silver was taken by Xicun Xu from China (95.86 points), Ashley Caldwell from the USA (88.83 points) took home bronze. Laura Peel, who scored 469 points during the season, was also given the Crystal Globe award.

«I am enormously happy. All this time I felt a but pressured and now, when I won, I can relax. I really liked the tracks in Krasnoyarsk, too!» – the athlete is quoted by the organisers press service.

Meanwhile, Noe Roth from Switzerland won the first place in the men’s final competitions (127.40 points). When talking to reporters, he said that the Krasnoyarsk tracks are quite complicated. In the last jump, his landing was not the best, he said.

In second place is Pavel Krotov from Russia (124.43 points), in third place is Lewis Irving from Canada (116.29 points).

Krotov reported to had been feeling very worried that his tactical jump was easier than he had planned: «If the jump were more complex, then under such difficult weather conditions I wouldn't be able to predict how everything would have worked out. We decided not to risk it. In general, I am very pleased with this season!»

Among men, the Crystal Globe was taken by Noe Roth, who scored 386 points in 7 stages of the World Cup. The second in the season was Pavel Krotov (334 points), the third was Maxim Burov (323 points).

Among the teams, the strongest in acrobatics at the end of the season was the Chinese team.
