​The issue of development is pressing at all levels of the state: country’s, entities’, municipalities’. And it is the municipalities in modern Russia that are actively seeking for some new unique place in the country's development strategy, because, according to experts, they are «the platforms on which new meanings, values, industries and industrial branches are created».

Based on this particular issue, both the agenda of the XV Krasnoyarsk Urban Forum and the main theme of the plenary meeting «Modern city development. The technology of success» were formulated. Krasnoyarsk, along with most Russian cities, is in the process of active transformation, searching for directions and development tools, all while discovering its unique identity. The experience that already exists at the moment requires reflection and development of goals, objectives, tools on a serious substantial level.

For the first time ever the XV KUF is divided into two parts. First, various discussion platforms will be organised in all the city districts, and each platform is promised to be unique and completely open to all he city residents. The organizers are preparing to discuss the most relevant ideas for the development of said districts. The unifying citywide forum «Modern city development. The technology of success» will be held on November 29-30 in the Congress Hall of SFU.

«People make city. Therefore, the essence of our multiFACEted regional capital is ideas and affairs of the citizens who form the unique «face» of Krasnoyarsk. The inhabitants of each district add their own strokes to its portrait. That is why the jubilee forum starts with venues based in districts. A grand event is ahead of Krasnoyarsk – the 400th anniversary. It is important for us now to set goals and gradually achieve them, year to year changing the lives of Krasnoyarsk residents for the better. Henceforth, let us consider the Urban Forum as an opportunity to unite our energy so as to create a successful future for our hometown,» – Mayor Sergei Eremin states.
