​On October 31, the 13th Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair started in Krasnoyarsk. Mayor Sergei Eremin attended the opening day.

The XIII KRYAKK’s theme is «Local history». The books of 250 Russian publishers are presented on the main platform at the Siberia International Exhibition Centre, along with meetings with writers, playwrights, critics and illustrators. Sergei Eremin noted that Krasnoyarsk has recently been included in the list of the most promising cities due to all the cultural and urban development happening thanks to such events. The fair is organized by the Mikhail Prokhorov Fund with the support of the Government of Krasnoyarsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk city administration.

«Recently, ForbesLife magazine ranked the most promising cities in Russia, in which over the past decade a significant leap in the quality of life of the population has been observed, as well as cultural and urban development. Krasnoyarsk was listed 6th. And events like KRYAKK allowed our city to take such a worthy place in the ranking. I sincerely thank Irina Dmitrievna Prokhorova, who puts her whole soul into this event, which is waiting for thousands of people every year,», — Mayor Sergei Eremin stated.

Also worth mentioning, the co-founder of the Fund Irina Prokhorova noted that next year the Fund plans on directing some 15 million rubles to the purpose of purchasing literature for the regional and city libraries.
