“I think that children will remember this for life,” said Natalia Vasilyeva, head of kindergarten No. 176. – “Of course, it is very important for children to have such a close meeting with the living creatures of our river. During this action, our kids were able to have a closer look at fish and even, very carefully, touch them. ”

The place where the fry were released was recommended by the specialists of the Yenisei Territorial Administration of the Federal Fisheries Agency. This site is protected from predators, as well as rich in food necessary for growth.

This is not the first action of the Siberian Generating Company aimed at restoring the fish population. In 2018, 1,200 fry of sturgeon and grayling were released in the Yenisei. The company hopes that such events will become a good tradition.

“We understand how important it is to preserve natural biodiversity, so we are contributing to the replenishment of the sturgeon population,” said Oleg Bubnovsky, director of Krasnoyarsk CHP-2, who participated in the event. – “There is another important point: we must teach our children to protect nature. I am sure that the environmental education of the younger generation should be just like this, action-style: planting trees, releasing fish, removing garbage off the banks."

The campaign to replenish the sturgeon population in the Yenisei is not the only environmental event of the Siberian Generating Company. In all cities of the company's presence, the Green Unit of the SGC operates. Volunteers are engaged in landscaping, separate collection of household waste, organizing the collection of waste paper, the proper disposal of batteries and plastic.
