The art objects will be created in the framework of the Festival of Street Art “Kras!” (“Paint!”). Krasnoyarsk street artists have already started decorating the facade of a residential building on Vavilova Street, 39. In total, three new monumental art objects will appear in Krasnoyarsk: the walls of two residential buildings in the Kirovsky District and the retaining wall on the left bank Yenisei embankment.
The best artists of Russia will come to the festival, there will be free lectures open for anyone, and together with the artists selected at the preliminary stage they will organize a graffiti jam on the embankment. In the future we plan to create an open-air gallery on Vavilova Street.

The Festival “Kras!” has been held in Krasnoyarsk since 2009. During this time, young artists have covered with monumental painting and graphics 3036 square meters of various urban surfaces. The objects created in the past include the side facade of a ten-story residential building on Vavilova Street, 25b, 400 square meters facades of the Youth Creativity Business Center “Pilot”, city retaining walls and transformer substations. The facade of the house on Vavilova Street, 39 will be designed by Alexander Yarovikov, a graduate of the Higher Academic School of Graphic Design. His composition “Siberian Forest” will cober the side wall of the five-story building.
“The composition is designed so that the main plot is read in large, and various elements of landscapes, flora and fauna are inscribed in more detail,” Alexander Yarovikov notes.
In mid-August, Daria Anoprikova, an artist, graduate of the Krasnoyarsk Art School named after V.I. Surikov and Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute, will start work on the neighboring facade. She will create the composition “Taiga”.
Even though Vavilova Street is one of the oldest in the district, for many years it has remained the most colorful, comfortable and green on the right bank. This year is an anniversary one for the Kirovsky District and there are many plans to make the district look even more festive. Vavilova Street should become a model in this regard.

The main stage of the Festival "Kras!" will be held in Krasnoyarsk in the last week of August. On August 26, at 18.00, the organizers will hold a lecture hall in the Creative Glade venue of the Art-Bank project, where artists from Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Kemerovo will talk about international street art festivals in Europe, as well as about the implementation of commercial art projects in Russia. The following day, on August 27, each expert and participant of the festival will cover with their art work more than 6 square meters each on the retaining wall of the left bank Yenisei embankment (near Diktatury Proletariata Street). In total, 20 art objects will be created.
