A student of the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the SibSU, alumnus of the Aerospace College Kristina Zheltova became the best at the “WorldSkills” IT-competitions in Germany.

Albert Einstein Cup of Software Development was held this year from May 27 to 30 in Neubrandenburg (Germany). There were 10 best IT students from 7 countries of the world (Russia, Switzerland, Germany , Finland, Belarus, Croatia, Liechtenstein). The competition was held for the second time. It is noteworthy that last year the winner was a contestant from Russia too.

Kristina Zheltova is a member of the WorldSkillsRussia national team. She competed in the competence of "Software solutions for business." The main task of the contestants was the development and modification of information systems for various fields. Christina Zheltova coped with the task better than others.

WorldSkills organises the world championships of vocational skills, and is held every two years in different parts of the world. The organisation, which also hosts conferences about vocational skills, describes itself as the global hub for skills.

WorldSkills brings together young people, industry, government, education, and institutions, to promote the benefits of and need for skilled trade professionals. The aims of the competition include demonstrating the advantages of learning a vocational skill, and encouraging 'parity of esteem' between vocational and academic qualifications
