The point in the dispute about whether the capital Krasnoyarsk or not was put in the city council. Krasnoyarsk is really the capital. This was stated by the chairman of the Council of Deputies Natalia Firyulina. In addition to this, there is a documentary evidence - the decision of the Russian government on the new spatial development strategy.

- There are several macro-regions in the country, one of them is Angara-Yenisei, uniting Krasnoyarsk Territory and Irkutsk Region. This resolution is clearly written "with the capital in Krasnoyarsk," - Natalia Firyulina said.

The next step, according to Natalia Firyulina, should be the budget consolidation status. This will allow the city to increase funding for the social sphere - medical and educational institutions.

Let us recall, that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the close of the Universiade, that Krasnoyarsk  is the capital of Siberia.
