Pupils of the Krasnoyarsk Children's Technopark "Kvantorium" won in one of the most difficult competitions of the second All-Russian VR / AR FEST held in Moscow. Guys created a graphic editor with the ability to draw in virtual reality using special gloves, without standard controllers.

For several days  guys, led by leading industry experts, worked on real production tasks. Participants, depending on the level of competence and their interests, could choose one of 11 cases from such companies as Russian Railways, Sberbank, Russian Museum, Boxglass and others.

Our team together with colleagues from Barnaul decided one of the most difficult tasks of the festival from the company TAU Tracing, producing tactile gloves.  Participants had to create their own version of the graphic editor with the ability to draw in VR using these gloves, without using standard controllers.

The variant of the Siberians team was recognized as the best, as the guys decided to complicate the task by integrating into their program the possibility of creating 3D objects through third-party programs.

The winners got an internship chance at leading companies. Artem Matveyev was noted as one of the best programmers of the festival and received a certificate for training in the course "Olympiad programming" at the Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok, Russia). Let us note,  that the second Krasnoyarsk team also attracted the attention, successfully coping with the task from the company HTC, which was to create a simulator for training for social workers.

Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren competed with more than 350 participants from 50 regions of Russia. An invaluable experience for young programmers has become familiarity with the most relevant projects of leading world companies. On the last day of the festival, a specialized exhibition was organized, where exhibits presented more than 30 Russian and international companies, including HTC, Microsoft, Samsung, Epson, key country universities and  state corporations.
